What is Finasteride?
Finasteride is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It blocks the enzyme in the body that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It is a medication used to treat male pattern hair loss, also known as androgenetic alopecia.
Finasteride may also be used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia. It is prescribed as a treatment for the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Other treatments may also be used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Finasteride is a synthetic 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It blocks the body's production of a natural testosterone by the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. This enzyme is responsible for the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
Finasteride is a medication used to treat male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). It works by reducing the level of DHT in the body, thereby reducing the severity of hair loss. It is primarily used to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia, and is sometimes prescribed in combination with other treatments to treat other conditions.

Human Growth Factor Finasteride (1mg) Finasteride is a competitive natural product promoted for treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and male pattern baldness. Subscheduled to become available in the UK from BHPIf you’ve been taking Finasteride for hair loss, you may have seen the side effects of the drug. According to theJournal of the American Medical Association, “the drug has been associated with a slight increased risk of developing and possibly dying of prostate cancer.” This is because the drug works by blocking the effects of estrogen, which is responsible for the growth and spread of hair follicles in the scalp. As a result, the hair follicles shrink, leading to hair loss. Finasteride has been shown to slow the progression of prostate cancer.
“It is possible that Finasteride is not the only hair loss drug for the future,” says Dr. Charles T. Lee, an assistant professor of dermatology at Tufts University. He has seen the side effects of this drug for about four years. “It may be a safer option, but at the very least it should be taken care of.”
The benefits of taking Finasteride are substantial, but Dr. Lee says that “the drug has been associated with a slight increase in the risk of prostate cancer.” While this is not the only prostate cancer drug that has been linked to prostate cancer, he says that the risk may be even greater when it comes to hair loss. For example, prostate cancer is a “good” prostate cancer, and it can affect hair follicles and encourage hair growth.
In addition to Finasteride, Dr. Lee and his colleagues conducted a study of male pattern baldness and the effects of taking finasteride on male pattern hair loss. A group of men who had been taking finasteride for 5 years or more at a time was asked to complete a questionnaire about their hair loss and sexual side effects.
Researchers examined the effects of finasteride on the hair follicles in the male and female scalp.
The results showed that men who took finasteride for 5 years or more had an increased risk of developing the condition, which is a serious side effect of prostate cancer. According to the study, “the average hair loss in men who took finasteride for 5 years or more was 15% more than those who took finasteride alone.” The researchers also found that the incidence of prostate cancer was lower in men taking finasteride for 5 years than in men taking finasteride alone. They also found that men who took finasteride for 5 years or more had a higher risk of prostate cancer than men who took finasteride alone.”
Dr. Lee and his colleagues have now concluded that there is a link between Finasteride and male pattern hair loss and that finasteride has a more favorable impact on male pattern hair loss. “There is not enough evidence to support a causal relationship between Finasteride and male pattern hair loss,” Lee says. “However, if finasteride were to be prescribed to men with prostate cancer, there would be some evidence to suggest that it could cause hair loss.”
“I don’t think any other drugs, including finasteride, are safe for hair loss,” he says. “We do think that finasteride has a slightly better safety profile than many other drugs.”
The researchers are currently reviewing the safety and effectiveness of finasteride. The side effects of finasteride are very similar to those of other drugs that contain minoxidil. “I’ve seen men who take finasteride and have very dry hair,” Dr. Lee says. “The same thing happened in men who took finasteride for 2 years.”
“It’s very important to talk with your doctor before starting any new medication. If you are taking finasteride, be sure that it’s the right thing to do for your hair loss,” he says. “If you are taking finasteride, talk with your doctor as soon as possible, and they can help you get the right dosage.”

This enzyme changes testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow or hair loss in males. Finasteride will increase testosterone levels in the body, which decreases prostate size and increases hair growth on the scalp.
In studies, 80 percent of men taking Finasteride 1mg preserved their original hair follicle counts and64 percent experienced some regrowth after two years of continued use.

Before we dive into whether finasteride is legal in Singapore, it's essential to understand what finasteride means. Finasteride is a prescription medication that contains the active ingredient called as an 5α-reductase enzyme inhibitor. Finasteride was originally developed as a treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and also for male pattern baldness. BPH is one of the UK's most severe hormonal imbalances that affect these hair follicles. As a result, these hair loss treatments have become more and more of a financial crime. BPH is typically caused by the fact, there is a decrease in the amount of urine and the lack of hair. This causes problems for patients with hair loss. However, finasteride has even been found to be effective in treating male pattern baldness.
